Registered Acupuncturist, B.A., Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma
Shawna Wafler joined Wild Roots in November, 2015.
With a life-long interest in various healing modalities and helping people, Shawna decided to extend her background in Psychology/Criminology to include studies in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She began her TCM studies in Victoria, completing the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma program at Pacific Rim College in 2014.
Shawna is registered as an Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists (CTCMA) and certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA).

I am excited and honoured to practice medicine in a way that approaches health as a dynamic system greater than the sum of its parts and acknowledges that each person’s state of health and wellness is an ongoing process.
